Privacy Policy

Summary
Nibli stores the meals you log, your weight entries, and any progress photos you take, so that you can see them again later. We do not sell your data. We do not run third-party advertising or behavioral trackers. The only data we share with outside services is what is technically required to make the app work — see the list below.
What we collect
- Account identifier. When you first open Nibli we create an anonymous account so your data can sync across app reinstalls. If you later add an email and password, we store those too.
- Meal logs. The transcript of what you said, the meal name and items Nibli parsed from it, the calorie estimate, and the time it was logged.
- Weight entries. The weight value (in pounds) and the timestamp.
- Progress photos.If you take a progress photo, the image and timestamp are uploaded to your account's private storage.
- Profile. Your name (optional), target weight (optional), and gender (optional, for calorie-goal calculation).
- Purchase history. Whether you have an active subscription or remaining scan credits. We do not see your payment details.
What we don't collect
- We do not collect your contacts, location, or device identifiers.
- We do not run analytics or attribution SDKs.
- We do not show ads.
How your voice is processed
Speech-to-text happens on your device using Apple's built-in speech recognition. The transcribed text — not the audio — is sent to our server, which forwards it to Anthropic's Claude API to extract the food items and calorie estimates. The audio of your voice never leaves your device.
Third-party services
We rely on the following services to operate Nibli:
- Apple — on-device speech recognition, account billing for subscriptions and scan packs.
- Supabase — hosts the database, authentication, file storage, and edge-function runtime.
- Anthropic — processes the truncated text transcript to return a structured food log. Anthropic does not retain inputs for training under our API agreement.
- RevenueCat — receives App Store purchase events and tells our backend to grant scan credits to the purchasing account.
Your rights
You can delete your account at any time from the Profile sheet (sign out and contact us at hello@nibli.app to request deletion of all associated data). On request we will provide you a copy of the data we hold for you.
